Don’t just wait for annual check-ups to monitor your health. A small problem could morph into a serious illness. In one English study, researchers found that less than 60 percent of people who developed unusual symptoms in the previous three months had seen a doctor. Try to keep an eye out for unusual symptoms in your day to day life. Some symptoms that can signal a disease: a patch of rough, dark skin could indicate diabetes or a strange color on your tongue could signal serious acid-reflux issues. Before it gets too late, make an appointment with your local physician.
