Trip to Saint Augustine

Residents boarded the motor coach departing to St. Augustine early Monday morning. We arrived at the Courtyard Marriott just in time to check in and freshen up. Shortly after, we headed for a private Trolley Tour of the Saint Augustine historic district. There is so much to do and see: the cobblestone streets, quaint cafes, bars, and unique shops among many bed and breakfast inns, all open to the public for dining. The historical landmarks included the Castillo de San Marcos, Lightner Museum, Flagler College and Fort Matanzas.

We returned to the hotel and had dinner at Giovanni’s Restaurant the first night. The food and environment topped off a great first evening.

The next day, we returned to the Saint Augustine’s historic district and boarded the Trolley. We all went our separate ways and viewed the sites that piqued our interest. We met back at the hotel and enjoyed dinner at Old City House Inn and Restaurant.

After breakfast and checkout on Wednesday morning, we continued to our last stop, The San Sebastian Winery. This included a tour of the winery and wine tasting. It was such a memorable trip!
