High school sweethearts, Dick and Bobbie Suprina hail from Long Island, New York and New Jersey. They retired to Sarasota 25 years ago and will celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary this summer. While Bobbie focused on raising their three children, Dick’s career progressed from sporting goods to teaching, coaching and school administration. Today, with nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren spread from Virginia to New Jersey to New York to Massachusetts to Missouri, they cherish their family visits along with their vibrant lifestyle in the heart of Sarasota. From theater and opera to mah-jongg, golf and drinks with friends old and new, The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods is where their heart is.

LET’S BE HONEST
Just because you’re retired doesn’t mean the business of living gets any easier, unless you take positive steps to make it so. Life in the right retirement community can be a wonderful gift to yourself and your family. So where do you begin? Get the facts at our next Discovery Luncheon and you’ll be off to a great start. “The reasons we decided to move here now was to make certain that we were going to be in a setting where we could make friends and be outgoing and get involved with activities. If you are just living in your house on a street and God forbid something should happen to your spouse, generally speaking you don’t have the kind of network and people around you who are so supportive and caring in every possible way.” – Dick Suprina, resident of The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods

YOUR ENVIRONMENT MATTERS
You want to be proud of where you live. Dick and Bobbie certainly are. They appreciate the pride of ownership evident in The Fountains’ pristine landscaping, amenities and homes. The right environment also means feeling perfectly content in the present and secure about the future. “It is so important, we believe, to be in a place were you not only feel happy but where you feel that you are living your life and we really believe that The Fountains is a place where we can live the latter stages of our life and not just go to exist. We are surrounded by people here, new friends that we made, the staff here is absolutely marvelous.” – Dick Suprina

MAKE THE ROUNDS
The Suprina’s had good friends already living at The Fountains and they liked it very much. Still, they did their homework thoroughly and suggest you do the same. There are many choices out there. The earlier you start exploring them, the sooner you’ll know what appeals to you when planning your own best future. “We learned a lot as we made the rounds to see all the different independent living facilities and we are certainly so pleased, we are here now about eight months, and we are so pleased that we selected The Fountains.” – Dick Suprina
